If you aren’t familiar with the name Colin Fiske, let me explain.
Back in 2002, the Boston based skateboard shop Coliseum released a local video called PJ Ladds Wonderful Horrible Life, and it exploded. It put skateboarders like Jereme Rogers, Ryan Gallant and Colin Fiske on the map and PJ Ladd’s part was so good, the entire video practically went viral (before Youtube & Facebook) based on his section alone. I remember visiting my friend in Finland in 2002 and he already had it illegally downloaded from Limewire, claiming it was the “best part ever” – that’s how much of an impact it had back then.
Most of the world outside of Massachusetts was introduced to Colin Fiske through that video, with his short part skating to Radiohead. Colin put out other parts over the years and rode for some companies but never gained the mainstream momentum like Jereme Rogers or Ryan Gallant.
Recently, Colin has resurfaced, riding for Fancy Lad Skateboards and skating as eccentric as ever. He quietly edited this behemoth of a part himself consisting of all of his skateboarding up until now, along with BMXing, longboarding, and random movie moments. It’s basically a full length skate video, with only one dude skating – which for most is probably un-watchable, but that’s kinda the point.
If you were ever wondering what happened to Colin Fiske, here’s your time to catch up and enjoy 57 minutes of absurd and epic footage.

I got to hang out with him for a bit. He’d always refer to himself in the third person ie “Can someone hold the door open for The Fiske?” I think he was trying to get on some The Muska type deal!

That was so sick. I must have missed the terrible parts.
