The thing that always bothered me about “Day In The Life” sections is that they always seemed so planned and scripted. Like the camera guy comes in and “wakes the skater up”, they visit a couple cool spots, “accidentally” bump into all their homies, crack a beer and fade to black. So naturally (stupidly) for this segment, we did the total opposite and came in with absolutely no preparation or really any idea of what we should be shooting. I figured we’d spend a couple of hours and hang out – whatever Shawn is doing that day, we would do it with him, whether that’s grabbing a coffee, listening to music or holding his groceries. Here’s just a small glimpse of time we spent in the streets of Chinatown.

Mediocre art, mediocre skating, mediocre person…Guess the only thing that makes him marketable is that he’s (pretending) to live the NYC lifestyle…pff i fuckin’ hate these wankers. Go skate and put out some proper shit instead of just frontin’ that oh so cool NYC lifestyle. Go fuck yo’self SP

yeah, all this new york lifestyle thing is allright but will probably end soon. it may be cool for kids who cant skate very well to relate to shit skaters like s.p. but good skating is good skating and will forever remain good skating. they found a gimmick to promote shit skating but it will not last that long, unless skating stops to progress and goes back to the point where a kickflip is considered best trick. or maybe a sketchy noseslide on some fucking bin thats not even that high. new york skating used to be underground, not fucking overexposed shit skating thats labeled as cool and collabbed with shit graphics companies.
