When I first watched this Brandon Gironda part from the Westchester-based video “duzzed,” I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, the dude does a double airwalk flyout while skating to Rage Against the Machine, the favorite band of every angsty eighth-grader in the early 2000s. But despite the goofy soundtrack, there’s plenty of wild, what-the-fuck-was-he-thinking tricks on crusty spots that aren’t really spots (check that urban mega-ramp ender!) to make up for it. Brandon’s mix of irreverent gnarliness and unique tricks is what makes this part so entertaining.

“Something must be done / About vengeance, a badge and a gun”
Gotta be “goofy” not to understand how relevant that still is in America. That’s just real talk. Rage is the truth kids.
Gnarly part too. UW’s tip for those getting blocked by The Man: try Hola. http://hola.org/

isnt that kinda weird when a filmer says ”what the fuck was that ?” after a trick. I’ve heard it in a couple of videos over the years and well… if a trick was filmed, theres a pretty fuckin high probability that the filmer knew what was going to happen. Even if the trick is landed on first try, it’s pretty rare for a skater to go at one spot, just tell the filmer to get recording and not tell him what hes about to try. And then, there was several tries on this trick. Does that mean that the filmer was surprised he landed it? Shit, landing a trick is pretty much the whole point of trying it! You must be expecting it at some point! ”Oh damn! you landed the trick I was filming you try? That was really unexpected! I really thought we were just trying to get some bails footage for the credits today.”
It doesnt really bother me that much, I just find it weird.
I’m supposed to be studying right now….
