We get at least 15-20 videos sent to us a week and I wish we could all give them shine (because I know how much work goes into them) – but that would be stupid. As you know, there’s a lot of skateboarding out there and I feel like that the more skating we (the collective internet) posts, the more we kind of water down the whole thing.
With that being said, the video Otto Ray sent us last week, is just flat out good. With an eerie soundtrack, and SF as the setting, Otto’s Big Kids has flavors of the GX1000 video and a Magenta Hill Street Blues edit, with plenty of crazy hill bombing and creative-yet-gnarly (Cgnarly?) tricks on some lesser-seen Bay Area spots. Otto moved out to SF two years ago and has only been filming for this video since August of 2016. The guys featured are all either locals Otto has met since moving out there, or roommates who made the move out west with him. The fact that there’s no “hollywood names” makes this one even more special.
To start the week off right, we’re pleased to present Side A of Big Kids, with Side B coming tomorrow, as well as some bonus material later in the week. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did and don’t end up spacing out and scrolling through your Instafeed.

A SERIOUS REVIEW OF MARK SUCIU’S SERIOUS “VERSO”
Verso asks that we pay it a kind of attention many of us automatically do not. Knowing this, we choose to either look more closely or let it pass before our eyes the way the rest of skating does.
