When Frankie sent us his playlist, we expected a bunch of tracks based around his obsession with horror flicks and gore, but what we ended up getting was a musical journey that loosely follows the story arch of a romantic break up. From the initial wreckage to anger and depression and back to acceptance, this one may be one of the most oddly profound Jenkem mixes yet.
It actually has me looking forward to my girlfriend getting sick of my shit and leaving me just so I can lay in bed and self-loath while Bernard Sumner plays until my eventual death with Adam Sandler. And of course, like every good break up, this mix ends up back in the club trying to get someone—anyone—to desperately come back home with you.
