Our week dedicated to This Is Skateboarding wouldn’t be complete without having a chat with The Boss, so we tracked him down while he was on tour in Japan to rack his brain for some stories.
As some of you might already know, Reynolds was partying and struggling with drug and alcohol use at the time of filming TIS, which makes his part fairly unique – having filmed half of it while partying and half completely sober.
Despite the brain farts during our conversation we got a lot of details on his struggles with booze and drugs, him being a control freak with his footage, and how he got turned on to the healthier lifestyle he’s living nowadays.
Listen to the interview in the player below, and if you have severe ADD or just gotta take a piss, we’ve got timecodes to help you skip around the timeline freely.

A SERIOUS REVIEW OF MARK SUCIU’S SERIOUS “VERSO”
Verso asks that we pay it a kind of attention many of us automatically do not. Knowing this, we choose to either look more closely or let it pass before our eyes the way the rest of skating does.
