If you haven’t seen the first episode of The Earthers with our friend Jake Keenan, we suggest you check it out to understand Jake’s secret power for finding unusual and virginal skate spots. His method relies on mankind’s biggest tool/enemy: Google.
Last time, Jake showed us how he uses Google Earth to scan the New York City landscape, looking for any interesting architecture, surfaces, or nicely colored pixels that might behold hidden skate spots. This time Jake lured us out of the city and up to Wurtsboro, New York to skate the Old Homowack Lodge. As stupid, offensive, and fake as that name sounds, we promise it’s 100% real.
Enjoy the second episode of The Earthers™ as we traverse the globe (but really, just New York for now) via satellite imagery, pinpointing locations and testing out the spots in person. Try Jake’s method for yourself or just sit back and watch him do all the work.
