It hasn’t happened in a while, but every so often a perfect storm of skate opportunity brews in New York, and you end up getting to do things like spend the day with Oski Rozenberg, Fred Gall, and a full pipe in New Jersey.
It all started to come together when Oski was granted permission to enter the country for the purpose of “Olympic training” (or in his case, going out skating with his friends) in the midst of some heavy COVID-related travel restrictions. On the other end, our filmer and host Alex Raspa was talking with Fred Gall about a new full pipe that Fred had found and fixed up. It was super crusty, but when Fred tells you about a new spot, you’d be a fool to not expect some bondo and a lot of sweeping as part of the deal.
Before we went on the hunt to find Fred’s full pipe, Oski wanted to warm up, so we took him to the only vert ramp in Brooklyn at Substance Skatepark, where he gave us more than enough footage to show you why he’s one of the most promising skaters out today.
