Yellowman, Pavement, an 81-year-old Italian composer… Mason Silvas’s brain must have been working double time to concoct a mix so eclectic that it actually flows and sounds cohesive. I’ve been trying to get in the mindset that Mason was in when he thought this up, but I guess just like his skating, it can only be thought of and executed by a true wild man.
If you didn’t know yet, Mason recently decided to try his hand as a DJ during his free time in LA. Use this mix as a little sample of what you might expect when you go see him at a local Manhattan Beach spot. Who knows maybe you’ll even catch him DJing a Jenkem party one day.
