We’re longtime fans of Andrew Allen, and it’s been a minute since we have been able to work on something with him. If you have a copy of Jenkem Vol. 2, you may have caught our interview with him there, so we’re hyped to finally check back in a few years later to see what he’s been digging and listening to lately. We’ve always considered AA to be a bit of a style icon, with unorthodox spot and trick selection, and obviously fits to match, so we wanted to dig a little deeper and find out more about what his sonic influences are too.
Just like his skating, this mix is understated and made up of tasteful hits that feel familiar, but offer an unexpected twist. Think ’80s synth and garage rock sounds, but with a tinge of goth and psych. Andrew even threw in some outlaw country for some added flavor.
Check it out in the player below and download it here while you can.

That is the very best Murder City Devils song. Cool to have some music in common with one of your favorite skaters. His 411 part with the Witchcraft song is all time! 411 on the 522. Watch it!
