It’s impossible to say what makes a skater “cool” because it’s different from skater to skater. But the first glimpse you get at Maité’s skating, dipping her front knee on some coping, there’s no doubt that she fits every definition of the word.
Maité is a breath of fresh air among the current sea of wannabes, cutting through the masses with an energetic gumby-flowing style and bright personality. As one of three pros on the new board brand UMA Landsled with Evan Smith and Cody Chapman, we asked her for a one sheet to try and get a bit more insight into her psyche.
