Over the years, you’ve probably spent a decent amount of time in your local shop and have nervously joined in on some good ol’ fashioned shop talk – What shoes on the wall have the best board feel? Who had the best part in that new video? And does that pro’s new board brand actually kinda suck?
There are plenty of debates that pop up every single day at a shop, and sometimes they get more heated than you’d expect.
To add some fuel to the fire, we decided to spend the day outside of Labor Skateshop in Manhattan, to hear what the local skaters and employees have to say about some (potentially) polarizing topics.
If you want us to stop by your shop and interview the local heads, all you have to do is buy us a plane ticket out there and convince us it’ll be a good time. Fuck it, we’ll probably do it.

Hottest pants are Wavy’s cash only denim. And mall grabs are always wack. Skateboarding can be understanding and inclusive, but not about everything. Sorry not sorry. Psyched to see the Cariuma hate.

God that little child talking about his “cringe” $90 polar pants was insanely cringe and spoiled.

*Revised* Hottest pants are Wavy’s Butter Goods denim. Cash Only hit too.
And yeah, the “cringe” kid was bad. But we were all like that at one point. He’ll grow and realize how dumb he sounds. While he’s living off his parents or running a depop store and we’re all working like slaves.
