For a long time, I never understood why someone would leave Europe and move to California just to skate. European cities, like Hugo Boserup’s hometown of Copenhagen, have street plazas, little to no motor traffic, and free healthcare for when you slam. It wasn’t until I saw that Hugo was happily married with a newborn child that I realized his move to California was personal and professional, and it seems to be paying off.
If you haven’t seen Paymaster, Limosine skateboard’s first video, then you’re the definition of “slacking.” Hugo truly puts on a show as he’s done in every video that he’s been a part of. It doesn’t matter if he’s skating a bowl, a crusty street spot, or a handrail, Hugo is able to somehow make everything look easy. Even with this mix, he was able to whip up this jazzy-electro tracklist in just a few hours.
After you give it a listen, go live like Hugo for a while; skate a bowl, move somewhere polar opposite of where you’re at now, marry a surfer, and go have a child (or just get a pet fish).
Check it out below, and download it here while you can, and if you haven’t check out Hugo’s closing part in the new Limosine video.
